Had a terrible day  Just returned from 2 weeks of great holiday with crap Lancia hire car in Tuscany and could not wait to get back into my E60. Had great fun today just driving anywhere as a relief from the nightmare Italian crap but managet to hit a huge pot hole and virtually lost my fillings.
Visual inspection showed no damage but I cant believe something nasty has not happened
Any help from fellow pot hole victims

You will need to inspect your wheels very carefully for out of roundness. And, if can be difficult to tell sometimes if a wheel is out of round.

If you have runflats check to make sure that there are no sidewall bulges. That happened to me about a month ago after hitting a really nasty pothole. Fortunatly I purchased tire & wheel insurance so it was fully covered.

I also hit a pot hole, I was going about 30mph. I had switched my runflats and have PS2's. The front tire ripped open, the rim bent and I drove on the "spare" for 350 miles. I got a new tire and rim, everything seemed ok. Then about three weeks after hitting the pot hole, I noticed a "bubble" starting to show on the back tire. It got bigger, I had to replace that tire also - but not the rim. That was an expensive hole in the ground. I hope you your situation turns out better than mine did, good luck.

On an E39 - so I'm not sure it applies - but I broke the linkages of the headlight levelling system, so the headlight was pointing right down. Funnily enough, no tyre/rim damage (or at least, none apparent)
I've hit several pot holes, and my car seems to be fine. Although I may have bent some rims beacuse my car have very subtle vibration in the back when i'm going about 100 km/h but once past 100, its normal again... any suggestions?
