Yes I have to pay a $250 deductable. I can live with that as long as I don't have to pay thousands of dollars to fix. The most important thing to me is that the fix is done right and with the right parts
Good news and bad news for the OP.

Bad news: His deductible is $250.

Good news: He does not need to worry about the detuctable. No provision for this in his case.

Did you happen to get any identification of the truck from where the metal came from?
If yes, I would track them down and suggest that they pay for the repair because clearly they did not secure the load they were hauling.

Good luck.
A lady once accused me of failing to secure my load.

I would never turn something like this in to my carrier. I'd wait for something catastrophic (with my $2500 deductible).

Nice!

And if this nice young lady suffered "injury" due to your "lose load," she would want you to pay, no?

Looks like a new front bumper cover to me. I'd go for the MTECH if your replacing it anyway.

You are absolutely correct. Making a claim for a small repair with your auto liability carrier will end up costing you more in increased premiums than the cost of the repair.

Car insurance is best used when there is a big time loss only.

I am not sure about Have a Nice Day Cafe. I have not heard about it in a while. But a really nice bar/restaurant here is Red Maple in Mt Vernon
