Obviously, since BMW offers its AWD cars in staggered setups, it must not be a terrible approach. (Right?) But as I research this, it seems most experts believe that square is a much better approach for AWD's. It sure makes sense. (And it's interesting that Audi, the standard in AWD, don't offer staggered setups.)

So the question is....is there any benefit to a staggered setup for XI's other than a more aggressive appearance? Conversely, is there a notable handling advantage to a square setup?
