Default Hill Descent Control in LCI e60

Folks,

I've tried to search but all in vain. Maybe I'm missing something quite obvious but..

So I retrofitted CIC in my e60 LCI. the CCC had an option for HDC in the settings if you scrolled all the way to the right. I can't find any HDC button or setting in the CIC even though I have programmed the car with the correct VIN and options.

From those who have LCI with Factory CIC Navigation (HD Based) could you guide me as to where you have the HDC button or setting in the car??

Thanks and happy plowing!!

Default Hdc

My 2010 has the button on the lower right steering wheel as the control. That position in my 2005 is used for radio mute. I miss that. The HDC has been of no use for me.

I know...why would HDC get such a prominent button location. Makes no sense.

Never tried HDC. Can't imagine a use for it on a low-slung car like the E60. Not going off-road in this one.

Did you ever get this to work? I just did my CIC retrofit and when i used a blank MAN file to code the CIC and KOMBI to the new options. This showed up enabled or would just randomly start working. scared the heck out of me. i have found no way to turn off and on yet either--2009 535 xdrive.

I ended up coding it not active in the CIC and KOMBI so i do not get random car slowing. i have never used it but now live in a hilly snowy area and would love it....
