I replaced my NGK's at 64K. It did help a rough idle but still not satisfied with idle. I purchased the Bosch +4's direct replacements for 7 bucks each. I spent 3.5 hours changing plugs. 1.5 on 6 and 2 hours on the rear two. No big deal just had to loosen the A/C lines on the right and the battery terminal on the left.

I was surprised that it is a BOSCH system and BMW used Japan NGK's. Why not use a BOSCH plug with a BOSCH direct coil on plug???

Anyway - Its better.

Cuz NGK had a lower bid to supply the plugs to BMW.

I use Pulstar Plugs (new technology) and I am very happy with them after being driving nowadays for 3 months after I installed them myself.

by the way it costs $25 per unit!

Does anyone have a DIY for a 530? I assume since it's a V6 those last 2 hard-to-get plugs don't exist.

Thanks,
Mike

Not true... More problems exists with a 530 V6 engine... It is impossible to replace spark plugs in V6 BMWs.

I'll let you think about that one...

Pulstar plug comment

The true test, of course, is real world performance. Plus they offer a 30 day money back guarantee if your not satisfied.
