My Ride: Currently an E46 330i Sport with Xenons, Nappa Leather, HK Stereo, AC Schniter Suspension (Very harsh) and aftermarket Angel CCFL eyes.

Good Point, dealer trouble can spoil the car. I have had trouble with a dealer in kent who damaged the engine whilst changing a clutch under warranty, then they denied it, even though they they had cracked the casing!!!! it cost BMW about 6k (managed to get a 3rd dealer to do it though). Now as the car is out of warranty I go to Munich Legends in Surrey/Sussex??, they are half the price and twice the performance.

However as You can get a nice spec 5 for around 14 k if you are carefull it is still tempting.

2004 530.....50,843 miles. still drives like new. only nav issue and replaced under warranty.

You're so right ! Those long-distance miles is nothing compared to short journeys.. Our car will hit 100.000 km's this weekend, and almost all the miles/kms is on highways (longer trips) with the cruice control set at 130 km/h at 1800 rpms
