how come many people have or had this problem?
I never read it on this forum before posting it.
You mean the one I described?

At my dealership they had one other car with the same problem, and one of our portuguese members (I don't remember who... shame on me) had it too.

Doesn't happen very often, but does happen.

Discovered this problem yesterday it starts at about 215 km/h. So is this one of those problems the dealer will know about or will they have to drive it to see for themselves.

Exactly like mine...

Yes, the dealer knows about it. It happens sometimes.

It is the glue, that has a leak where the wind is beeing pressed through making that noise!
The dealer has to take the windshield out and replace the glue, what takes a day, since the glue needs to dry.

Have it fixed soon guys, and test it yourself afterwards.

I hope this problem doesn't re-pop in the future
Why would you wish for a problem?

What's wrong with yours?
I wish I could drive 200 kph long enough to notice a squeak or two. Speed limits here in the US.
When I was studying in the US, I was going over 90mph on a 55 driving between State College PA and Pittsburgh. At that day I was testing a Valentine 1 that I bought for my brother, it worked great on the way there. It was detecting everything including opposing radars that were pointed in other directions, I remember reading in the manual that it should detect radars on the other side of the hill.
Well guess what? I was going up hill (or should i say flying up hill). Anyway, for a reason i don't know i slowed down a little bit going up hill. And there he was waiting on the side of the road, the Valentine 1 kept quiet until I saw the cop then it went loco. I didn't even hesitate, I hit the brakes and parked right infront of the cop. Didn't want to give him the trouble of chasing me. (it was a $239 ticket, he siad i was going 77mph on a 55)
Well anyway, i believe in the Valentine 1 but in flat areas only.

Man I need to get this fixed..... It keeps setting off the "Honey Alarm".

....Honey don't you think you are going a little too fast?

Have there been any issues with this repair? I hate going in for repairs but I'm starting to like cruising in the 220+ range and this is annoying.

Honey alarm... LOL

No problems at all with the fix. They take the windshield out, put new glue on it and put it back in - problem solved.

that is true Iceman,
they also use something like a hair dryer to heat the edges and the rubber slides more under the edges of the windshield.

Desert 530 -- Looks like you got hit with "instant on" radar or laser. No detector can sense the guns if they are not turned on by the cop directed at cars in front of you. Just bad luck.
