Default High battery drain warning

I have a 2010 535xi and am getting high battery drain warning. It started intermittently and now is steady. I noticed when it began I was having trouble with my comfort access. Every few days I had trouble with my comfort access. I would have to try two or three times to unlock any doors with out the key. Now every time I can't unlock any door with out the key. If I unlock any door and then try the comfort access it works correctly. What needs replacing? Thanks.

Probably the battery. Have it tested. AutoZone/Advance Auto/Pep Boys will do it for free.

I'm having the same issue. In my case it's the driver's door Comfort Access handle.....a $700 part here in Canada, which I'm not quite ready to shell out.

I think problem is definitely a problem with comfort access. Sometimes I have to unlock with key as no doors unlock by pulling on handle. When that happens I get the warning after starting the car. When it is working I can lock and unlock all of the doors with out a problem. When that is working no code appears upon start up. ??????????

The e60 is a energy hungry car...even when off. As the battery looses capacity to keep all systems running, the brain shuts down all non essential drains to the battery. Comfort access is one of those systems that will be shut down 1st. If it is still your original BMW battery, it likely needs replacing. Mine went in 2014 and I experienced similar shutdowns. Take it in for testing. I recommend a BMW indy shop that knows these types of cars over an auto zone type store..although that is my preference. Try which ever you like.

After countless hours spent trying to figure out why the battery from my e60 was draining out and even replacing a fairly New battery thinking that was the problem, it turned out to be damaged ( cut) rear trunk wires that were caught by the hollow support bar were the wires actually pass though. Every time I would open or close the trunk, it would pinch the wires.
Cannot assure you it's your case but you never know. Google it and you will see the wires that a lot of e60 owners talk about. There are vídeos also which are helpfull.
Good luck buddy.
