No, I have a euro spec car with standard speakers which include 2 woofers under the front seats.

 

The simplest way is to put one ear just on the tweeter of a front door and hear if sound is coming out from it. If yes, you have HiFi speakers, if no, you have standard speakers.

By the way, be careful if you ask your dealer. Mine was a little bit confused when I asked about the 6 speakers of the standard system. He didn't know that two woofers were located under the front seat. Thanks to this forum, I told him.

Morning everybody

I like to change the standard E60 sound to L7 or "another very well system"

I have a 530D with M Pack and with Professional Navi and so cd+dvd and 6cds charger.

I think my sound is "standard" because when I up the volumen the sound this is distorted.

I connected in the rear shelf two tweeter speakears adds to the original 100 mm standards speakers. Good I get better something the treble sound to rear passengers.

Little by Little I like to improve my sound..... Anybody can us explain to install tweeters in front doors ?? I dont know how remove the original grille in the mirror ?? And how remove the original speakers in the front seats on the left and right doors ??

So I like to install a rear subwoofer rear ... in the boot... perhaps rear seats or in the hole spare weel (I have run flat)... so how remove the original amplifier in the left rear boot to another "high" to do more power to standars rear speakers (+ my new tweeters) and the new subwoofer ?? I have a new Hertz amplifier and a 25 cm Pioneer subwoofer (only needs 17 box liters at least).

I am sorry .... help us to people likes to do a better sound in our "standard" E60 machines.

Where are the standard 6 speakers located on the car? Are the subs under the front seats fitted to the seats or the floor? Is it possible to see them if you look under the seat?

 

E60 standard sound: 2 speakears in each front doors, two midle subw under front seats and 2 speakers on the rear shelf.

I guess you have the HI-FI speakers, why not. I had on my E60 and I have on the E61 and as both I decided to install it. Look at the front doors if you have the tweeter on the inside part of the rear mirrors (listen at it) means that you have the HI-FI system.
