HID fog lights
Hi folks:
I have read a lot of postings in the web about upgrading the OEM fog lights into 55W HID kit.
In most cases the lights flicker and turn off. So far the only advice is to replace the 55W with 35W kits, which reduces the bright of he fog light, or just downgrade back to OEM halogen.
I am having the sames issues right now and would like to know if any of you have resolved this annoying issue.
any thoughts??
thanks

I used 55W on my fogs with the resistors that I bought from Radio Shack, soldered them on the load and return wires, no more error. But if you are not comfortable with soldering them, you can get a kit from Ebay that can connect to the HID kit connectors. There are alot of tutorial on YouTube if you do some searching. Below is a sample link from Ebay for the error removal resistors:

If you order our Canbus HID system, you won't need any resistors. They just plug in, turn on, and don't shut off no matter what (unless you turn them off).
We install literally hundreds of these every year in E39/E60/E90/E92 fogs.
