Thank you all very much for the help. Thanks KAF & Dawi the pics were really helpfull and have made my decision easy, i will leave the Xenon's off the car.
Andymac, the ?215 is what i have to contribute to the lease cost of the car, ?190 if i dont go for the Xenon's (hence the quandry) I am getting it as a company car and the actual lease cost is ?800 and something. For 3 years 75K. Deposit is 3 x 1 months lease cost. I hope that helps.
Thanks again every body, this seems to be a really friendly site.
Rudy, i have put some info on my personal profile
Thanks again guys.
Regards
Dan

You can change the sidelight bulb easily to a whiter light to make them look better.
The pic is a Photoshop one, I guess, to bring out the differance?
What bulb exactly are you refering to when you say "the sidelight bulb"?
There are the sidelight leds plus the AE's.
In US models there are also extra sidelights that the EU cars don't have.
Could someone please show my exactly where the Angel Eyes (all four 2+2) bulbs are,
and to what brand (and number + Watts) of bulp should be change to,
to get the brighter look, thanks!
My car has Xenons, see pic.

danpercival and BrummyGit.
Anyway can I add slightly to the questions - My UK spec car is on order with Xenons. I have assumed that I'll get the Angel Eyes, Eyebrows and LED side markers with just parking/side lights switched on. Am I correct for UK spec?
Thanks

Not sure of the fitments in Xenons, but in the non-xenons the 'sidelights' or 'parking lights' if you prefer are contained in push fit holders into the top of the headlamp reflectors.
See 10 and 11 on your diagram.
They are W5W 501 bulbs. Four of them.

Ricracing, my photo of the whiter angel eyes has not been photoshopped, that is the real JPG straight out of the camera.

I did send a meil to my dealers "head service engineer" some time ago about the W5W Phillips Blue Vision
bulb and his answer was "freely translated" as follows:
"We do not have the knowledge about the bulb because the original socket comes with the bulb".
My meaning is, that he didn't not know shit about the matter.
The diagram is a copy paste from here.
So the RealOEM do not help that much either...
Changing a few bulbs is not that hard, but what bulbs - that's the question!

The W5W's I bought from that site are identical to the OEM's apart from the blue colour.
Follow the wires to the back of the bulb and just pull the Holder out of the headlamp.
Bulbs pull out and the W5W's (501 pattern) push straight in.
I am useless at most things mechanical, but this job took me 5mins per bulb and a few scratched fingers from trying to get my hands into small gaps.

To throw my lot in - if you do ANY night motoring out of town you MUST get Xenon's. I had the original Xenon's on my E46 and they were excellent. I swapped that for another E46 without Xenon's and the difference was very noticeable, so when I got the E60, I HAD to have Xenon's. I can now say that the Bi-Xenon's are ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUS for blasting down the lanes at night. I won't be having another car without Xenons now. Angel-Eyes, LED side bits, Blue bulbs are for the posers IMHO, nice though they look, but I go for practicality over looks anytime. (I'm the man that bought a Peugeot 309 GTi many years ago - really ugly, but it stuck to the road like the proverbial . . .)
