the HI-Fi has 10 speakers..
4 in the front doors = 1 tweeter, 1 mid speaker in each front door..
2 subs under the front seats = 1 under each front seat..
4 in the rear = 1 tweeter, 1 mid speaker each side of the rear...

logic 7 adds
1 speaker in the center front under the dashboard..
2 speakers in tthe rear doors = 1 in each rear door...
total 13 speakers..

im sure off this....but confused about standard...

The US E60's are loaded compared to EU ones.
What else is standard in US but no EU?

Yes, so it seems, sorry about that.

This is my second E60 and I have had the standard BusinessCD in both my cars.
Both have had the subs under the front seats.

I have also testdrived a E60 with the Hi-Fi speaker system and it did sound even better.

My car is a BMW Nordic spec one with the (US) cold package standard (but not the heated steering wheel) and it has i.e. headlight washers as standard even without the Xenons.

hey Ric,
you just discovered your car is even better.... you have the Hi-FI option. How cool is that??? Finding a new feature after a year of ownership. I wish I could find the sun-roof today

As told, this is my second E60 and the 13th BMW I have owned and payed in fully for.

Still, my audio ain't the Hi-Fi system.
There must be a standard audio speaker system under the BusinessCD one.

But as a matter of fact, I only found out a month ago about switching off DSC and the DST and the sport mode of the autotras was new to me by my current E60.

It's nice to learn new things and I hope we all can have a good laugh about this

Any chance of being more specific??

I can understand me having a sub under each front seat, although i've not yet seen it & can't say i've felt it however i believe they're their. I can see speaker mesh fairly high on the front door card & a smaller mesh on the door pillar, but not sure where the rear door speakers are (never really looked) & as i was driving the other day, i held my hand over the centre dash mesh & their was music vibration & air emminating from here, but my car (according to the dealer) is only the hi-fi speaker system (i've got no eq option in the i-drive).

Anyone have a speaker location diagram??
