My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
So the other day I started my car and this is what the LCD display between the gauges in my dash showed. It never had a problem before and it has not come back to normal. Do I need a new cluster? How would a new cluster affect my odometer? This would have to be fixed before I can sell the car on. Any ideas would help

Something similar happened on my 2001 740 ... needed a cluster replacement that was covered under a recall. Took less than an hour to swap it out.

Well there's no recall for the E60, but maybe I should contact BMWNA and see what happens? Since this malfunction affects the odometer they should be aware.
