Help! windshield chip by small stone

Question

hi,

today my windshield got a chip by stone on the Fwy. Only 1mm big, is like small

hole but did not go through the windshield. Is not a crack.

what should I do? please help!!!

I don't think they will cover that under warranty, but I know they can repair small chips at a good Auto glass place. Ask your dealer first!!!

Most insurance policies have a deal in place with a national windscreen company that will allow you to get a new windscreen for a nominal fee. Especially if the defect is in your driving line-of-sight. So, I would start by reviewing the detail of your insurance.

for about $50.00 you can have someone repair it. In most cases if the chip is small enough you can't even tell it was there.

Get it fixed because if it is cracked just right, it will spread out and ruin your entire windshield.

2 years ago I found a big scratch and when I say big 1-2cm big for 2-door cars, anyway someone told me to put tooth paste on it and leave it dry. It should be applied multiple times; apparently tooth pastes have some kind of polishing component. It wouldn't help much but at least it will smoothen the surface of the scratch.
