Seriously need help guys,
Just took out the negative battery and very clever me I closed the trunk, now I cant open the trunk and the car is completely dead.
what should i do now? no fold down rear seats, is there anyway I can manually open the trunk or access it from somewhere else?

I can understand your initial frustration. When I removed my instrument cluster to upgrade the LEDs, I also first disconnected the battery and closed the trunk. I panicked for a few seconds but soon realized that many others must have done this before me and that BMW must have an mechanical override switch for just such an emergency. Batteries also tend to fail sometimes too which would cause the same effect. I quick search in the forums provided the feedback I needed. Just use the master key on the trunk lock and turn to the extreme left until you hear a click. voilà!

Hah, how funny, I did this by accident when I did my cluster mod as well.
My buddy just pulled up his car, and jumped it. I couldn't get the key to open the trunk, so this was an easier method.
