Dear all,

My passenger side comfort access door handle is not working and I fear it may also be the cause of my battery drain issues.

I know I have to replace the comfort access carrier (part number 51217191590); while I have found the instructions on spagetticoder.org, I am looking for some guidance from someone that has done this before.
Main question I have is whether I will need to remove the inside door cover.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I've never done this but I've removed plenty of door locks such as these and it's no different because it's CA besides a wire. How would you expect to release the handle or the lock of the door unless you took the inner door panel off? Otherwise anyone could steal your handles. so the answer to your question is Yes.


Remove cover on outside handle <br style="font-family: 'Helvetica neue', Verdana; font-size: 21px; ">· Disconnect Bowden cable from door lock <br style="font-family: 'Helvetica neue', Verdana; font-size: 21px; ">Driver's side only: <br style="font-family: 'Helvetica neue', Verdana; font-size: 21px; ">· Remove door lock on front door
