Default help Replacing fuel pump.

hi guys, i realise this is being a pain just signing up looking for help, but basically iv a 2004 E60 530D, car wouldn't start the other morning, a quick check and i noticed the fuel pump fuse had blown in the boot, i changed the fuse and tried to start the car again, it ran for 2 seconds and died, i checked and again it had blown the fuse for the fuel pump. so i assume the fuel pump was toast.

i removed the pump from the tank, and bought a secondhand one, but the guy i bought it off cut all the old hoses

in now trying to change the one plastic hose from the pump itself,

this is off the new pump with the damaged hoses, iv tryed heating them up a little and pulling but nothing, id nearly say they are heat shrinked onto the pump?

i really need some help taking this hose off, also as a precautionary measure anyone know where my fuel pump relay is located if the car has one at all?

Thanks
Alan

+100. What pcy says. Write it off to a bad buy and get the working part. Guy was a jerk to just cut things out, but you can't fix that. I've been there: spending hours trying to make a crappy part work, when money fixes the problem. Move on.

Certain parts you NEVER buy used...yes, this is one of them! I've replaced (new) fuel pump on my previous e39, was fortunate to get no start parked in garage. I've also replaced (left side) fuel pump w/sender unit on my existing current e60. Both times hardest part was banging the ring off - which I'd admit paying extra for the tool is a smart option. But in both cases, the part itself was plug n play...none of that melting or fusing a gas part!!?? Nah I'm good...tell me where to buy a new one!!
