My Ride: Bmw 525d e60
Default Help please

Hi. I have a bmw 525d e60 54 reg

Ive replaced the oxygen sensor.
Maf sensor
Air charge sensor , glow plug control unit Changed injector no 5. Because. That was the only injector that made no difference when unplugged.
Switched over injector plugs to each different injector with no change in idle .
Dpf removed. Swirl flaps removed
EGR off and blanked
Used injector cleaner. Had the car remaped and the dpf and egr deleted

So to start with the problem occurring....
the car developed a miss fire. That's how I can explain it. And terrible power loss. Then. The car stopped Miss firing and just had the power loss. Which was strange ?
After changing all this and carrying out the work. The car run fine. No power loss. Absalute perfect. For 2 days. Then the Miss fire has come back with avengence! Bmw and prestige garage had a look. Charged me a fortune ...All they have done is gave me a diagnosis sheet. They can't tell me what the problem is now .... All I want it the problem. The exact problem to be found and to spend out once and have it fixed . I have spent £1030 trying to get it right. With no luck. Can somebody please please shed some light ? Can't seem to fix the miss fire

What was on the diagnosis sheet? Any error codes?

BTW - outside of UK nobody knows what 54 reg means.

have you checked the coils? are either working correctly or not cliped in correctly?

I don't think that a diesel has coils.
