Ok, that's not English being spoken; it's called internet speak and there is tons of information out there on, you guessed it, the internet. If you do a search on, e.g. Internet Acronyms, you should find what you need.

STFU = Shut the *^_$ up
IMSHO = In my someitmes humble opinion
TTFN = Ta Ta (bye) for now
ROTFLMAO = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A&* off
POS = Piece of S^)$ (not used too much here!
HTH = Hope that helps

HTH,

Sam

I miss most, if not all, the English, American acronyms used in this forum like LOL, IMHO and so on. Is anybody so kind to care to write them fully extended?

I wish to better understand all your posts.

Thanks

Lucky,

IMHO you should speak the standard European Language - The Queens English!

Is that better? Happy Easter

The table shows the total proportion of European citizens speaking each language in the EU (as mother tongue or as foreign language

English is the language which is most widely "spoken" in the EU. While it is the mother tongue for 16% of the European population, a further 31% of the EU citizens speak it well enough to hold a conversation.

Derv,

you are AHAPOS.

IMO, such a thing like Queen's English doesn't exist, at least in UK.

Lucky,

What does AHAPOS mean?

As Helpful As (a) Piece Of S***

I hope this doesn't sound too strong an expression; you know, here in Italy we're quite temperamental.....
