I plan on replacing that BST connector. I'll keep everyone posted.

I only get the error after dinking around that area. I always tighten the shiz out of the battery clamp.

Our battery terminals get 5 newton meters of torque.

That's 3.6 ft lbs. I torque it by feel. I probably do 6 ft lbs.

I finally discovered why I could not fix the problem dinking around where the red arrow (see below) points to. Its because the problem is where the yellow arrow is pointing to.

Didn't I tell you to look around the positive cable. Lol. What did you see wrong with it?

I think you must be dreaming. Scott was the one telling me to look at the end where the red arrow is. Haha. If you told me otherwise, I must have missed your post then.

What I found was I was having a hard time clearing the dang code and then I decided to move the wires close to + and that did the trick. I plan to go back and measure the resistance while moving those wires one of these days.

Oh that post. Yeah I checked back then and nothing was unplugged and still isn't. I'm pretty sure the wires are intermittently breaking connection.

I had a similar issue where mine couldn't be cleared. After messing with it for a couple of weeks trying different things I sprayed some electrical cleaner in the plugs other plug dangling and it did the trick. I haven't had an issue again all year. I'm assuming the get corroded inside and need a cleaning after years of no maintenance. Try that to see if it makes it better

Make sure you have a good battery and that the terminals are clean and tight.

I did that eons ago based on @scottalexander advisement. It was a no go. I am pretty sure its the other end because its bent there and messing around with the bend allowed me to clear the code.
