My Ride: 520d M sport E60
Model Year: 2007
Hey,
just joined up. I recently bought a 520d m sport LCI with the m47 engine. There's a few niggly things wrong with it and wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm fairly handy with a spanner so most work i can probably DIY.
1. There seems to be no power low down in the rev range. after 3k its fine. I've seen a post here- https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...e-90743/page4/ which suggests vacuum leak. Havent checked yet, but any other ideas?
2. While im looking at the above, i will probably remove the inlet manifold. While its off is it worth removing the swirl flaps?
3. Dash says its -40c outside, looks like the ambient air temp sensor or the wiring is knackered. would this affect the air con not working? with Aircon on it blows out warm air. Also would this sensor prevent the DPF from doing a regen?
4. When you start the car you have to depress the clutch. I seem to have to kick the pedal down fairly hard for it start. if i do it half ar*d then it wont start. Would this be the clutch switch? anything else it could be? cruise control etc works fine and disengages as it should when pressing the clutch in.
