My Ride: BMW E60 525D
Default Bmw e60 520d - Gamble [ need help ]

Hello my new friends
Because this is my first post here i would like to thank you all for letting me in your group

Now my story, bought a BMW E60 2007 520D from auction with NO KEYS and i did see the backseat raised and that they were doing something at the in tank fuel pump.
I changed a few in tank fuel pumps on previous e60 and i considered it was no problem.
Won the car, called a guy who made me a new key in just 30 mins.
The car battery was flat, got a new Bosch Car Battery 12V 80Ah Type 110 720CCA.

And now this happens when i try to start the car:
( i made a video of the problem )
My main problem is that i can't get the ignition to light up in the dashboard .. ( as seen in the video )

Using the ISTA-D ( DIS ) software i diagnosed the problems , that is what came up in different clearing and reading of the fault codes.

If any of you guys could help me out, i would appreciate very much

That is not being programmed. It needs to be programmed to start the car. If you didnt take it to a dealer or hook a computer up with BMW software to program the imobilizer then all you will be able to do is lock and unlock the car.

No you cant. I dont think ISTA P can do any programming. If you had the original key you could do it yourself easily. Was the FOB new or used. You probably could take it back to him to see if he could do it but if the FOB was used it would have to be flashed first. There are DIY threads but none them are consistent. You might need to take it to an INDY or dealership to get it done.

Agreed.

You got a good deal on this car I'm sure.

Don't fight the key problem and any issues that come from it. Be assured you have a proper key and pay the Dealer their rate to get it done.

I did found the problem.

It`s the CAS module not sending a 'OK' signal to the engine, not even locking/unlocking the steering wheel.
It may appear damaged.
I am going to buy it now from ebay, anyone could guide me thru the coding process ? Could it be done with ISTA D/P ?

Did you try to realign the CAS first.
