I think I'm the second person on the forum moving down from a 535d to a 520d. I basically am trying to release some cash that's tied up in my current car , and lease purchase a new vehicle.

Besides, the 535d is too fast and too thirsty for my current needs.

Current spec provisonally ordered :

520d M sport

Carbon Black
Auto
Natural brown Dakota leather
Black trim
Comfort seats
heated front seats
19" 172s
Media pack ( prof nav , voice control , bluetooth etc)
Visibility Pack
Head Up Display
spoiler
sunroof
sun protection glass
folding mirrors
Hi fi speakers
Advanced AC

Poss options:
USB
Night vision (I like my toys

Any suggestions that people may have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like a car !

I don't see cupholders, are those standard equipment in the UK ?
If not, order them because a retrofit will cost x-times more.
And I thought USB is standard ?!

Yeah cup-holders are standard here ( there would be a boycott of BMW if they werent!)
I'm sure USB is an option ( AUX input is standard though). I will go check it again now.

if you are a playboy you will definately need the rear sun shades for sure.
also the l7 will help you elevate your playboy status to one notch higher.

Yes, you are and rsyed (rumman) going from 535d to 520d.
If I could get the 535d in the usa, i would take it also.
i love diesels. :-)

Release cash???? man, I had to pay extra to trade my 535d in for a 520d, and I assume you will be too...

Just spent the weekend in london, and I must admit, I saw far too many 520s there But then again, if you are "parked" on the m25, it really does not make a difference if you have 177hp or 286hp

btw - never looked back - the decision to downgrade was the way to go...
