Isn't this forum (and all the mods done by the participants) a clear indicator that you can't trust what came out of the factory. A lot of people here seem to play around with their angel eyes, DRLs, and LCI taillights.
True that...

Thanks. I should have thought of that. I was stuck on thinking it was an early '08 MY deal, and wouldn't be able to get the specs on the website.

Now I can sleep.

Interesting that the Xenons are an option on the 528. Did you notice if the halogens were still Adaptive?
Rest easy!!

I don't think the halogens are Adaptive...

Thank you BBogz!!!

Really, people, not to dis anyone here, or anything, but the DRL is an option that you can select in the iDrive menu.
Though it is possible that the guy simply put in an older set of HIDs when he got the car, my money's on the owner's inability/lack of desire to learn the iDrive menu.

Betcha he just doesn't know how to turn it off as opposed to me, who actually has to pay 150 bucks to get my pre-LCi software updated so that I can have the damned angel eyes!!! 150 bucks!!! (you can tell I'm new, cuz I'm still outraged by how much everything costs for this car, right? ) some people just have it all eeeehhhh

I have a 2008 535i and my DRL are the halos. I haven't made any mods to my car as of yet so this was the delivery setup.

Correct me if Im wrong but wasn't the DRL a setting in the idrive that was only dealer accessable?

Or perhaps he actually wants the DRLs on as many view them as an added saftey feature...
