Help with leak from tube to thermostat on 545i
I have a 2005 545i and just got a small coolant leak, it is at the back of the engine and in this picture it is the smaller tube next to the crossover tube. I think the leak is at the fitting at the back of the smaller tube, on the outside of the engine, not under the intake manifold. It is the aluminum tube that goes to the thermostat.
It's the part in the yellow circle. This is not my engine, it was taken from another thread.

I noticed it was using a little coolant, but nothing major, and no water on the garage floor. The other day I got on it pretty hard just before coming home and the next morning there was a cup or so of coolant on the floor. I think the pressure caused the extra leaking.Has anyone had something similar to this? I'm going to start into it and wanted to ask the forum for help.I should be able to just move the wiring harness and other parts to access is better. It should be a standard clamp that needs replaced.

I am trying to figure out how the delete this thread because I think it is the crossover tube that needs replaced.
I picked up a UV flashlight from Harbor Freight and I can see the coolant has dribbled down the front of the engine.
It must have just flowed to the back to confuse me.
