Help with the key fob

I got a question, i used to drive a c230, and when I press the unlock button, my headlights would turn on. Now I know the new bmws do this, but my 06 525i actually did it once just last night, the angel eyes turned on... I played with it for another 5 mins, but couldnt get it to do it again. was this a glitch? or is there a way to do this?
