I had Eagle F1 GS-D3's on my 545 (and am about to get them on my 550). They are different to the regular Eagle F1. With their tread pattern they are totally resistant to tramlining, ride beautifully and are phenomenal in the wet. They beat the established favorite on here (the PS2) pretty convincingly in a Car and Driver performance tire test - but any of the top tires are going to be very good and a big step up from the stock run flats. The PS2's just overtook the F1 GS-D3 on Tire Rack's performance tire league table in the last couple of weeks but the F1 rating is based on nearly four times as many user miles as the PS2 which is testament to their quality. Incidentally, my 550 came with both RFT's and a spare so I'm comfortable with the switch to non-RFT's but I'm not sure I would do it without the spare. I have Bridgestone RE050A RFT's on the 550 and they're not too bad, but not in the same league as a good non-RFT.
