Do you have the ski bag? If so, you should be able to remove the cassette and reach back and grab the "carjack" handle...

I assume when you say you tried to jumpstart the car, that means you tried to release the trunk electronically (with either the exterior switch above the license plate or the interior switch, if your car has one) while the jumper cables were connected between the two cars. If not, give it a try.

Find the door lock/trunk fuse in the fuse block and apply 12V DC between a good ground on the car and the fuse terminal with the fuse in place or use a fuse tap.

seat removal? it might be easier to build a time machine and go back to when your trunk was still open and dont shut it.

...sorry i do wish i had useful input.

Putting 12V at the jumper terminals should provide power in the same way a battery would. Using the key fob might not have worked if you didn't go through some kind of lock/unlock procedure. Did you try using the trunk switch on the car (instead of the fob)?

I was working on the car and needed to disconnect the battery. I accidentally closed the trunk and now I can't get it to open. I've tried the following:

1) Used the manual key on the key hole by the trunk license plate
2) Tried to jump start the car from the terminal under the hood

I called roadside assistance and all they can suggest is to get it towed to the dealership which opens on monday!

Is there any way to open my car's trunk? Please HELP!!!

Good morning. Haven't had any coffee yet, but how about a little piece of dynamite!! Sorry for your headache.

He has the ground wire to the battery disconnected which means the car electronics are removed from ground. The jumper terminal connects to the battery high side. If you jump the car electronics ground is still disconnected.

at least on the e39, the key would manually open the trunk but you had to turn HARD, and at least 90 degrees from center, if not more. don't remember if it was CW or CCW, but it was a large amount of force for a key. i'd try it now on mine but I'm not wanting to take off my trunk finisher to do so.
