My low-beam xenon light burned out on the drivers side. Prior to ordering the replacement xenon bulb, I wanted to verify if I have the D1S (part 7 in the picture with ignition element) or the D2S (part 3 in the picture) bulb. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to remove the headlight assembly to access the bulb. I removed the two obvious torx bolts holding the light assembly on from the top (easily visible when you open the hood); however, I could not figure out what to remove next in order to remove the light.
I have been unsuccessful at finding a procedure for removing the headlight on the forum or internet.
I have a 2004 545i with the adaptive Xenon headlights. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the xenon bulb replaced?
Thank you.

You just need to play around with the search terms.
This will get the headlight assy off.
