All your ED questions can be answered on the ED forum on bimmerfest...
But to help you out with Dingolfing tours -
Klaus-Henning Hoffmann
Klaus-Hen.Hoffmann@bmw.de
Tel / Phone: ++49-(0)8731-76-27597
Fax: ++49-(0)8731-76-22382
www.bmw-werk-dingolfing.de
I would just give him a call directly instead of e-mailing him. If you e-mail him, make sure to give the following info:
- full name and address
- number of participants (no children aged under 14 years)
- Phone and Fax-number to get the invitation letter and general information incl. a little map how to approach to the Dingolfing Plant

My son and I drove from Munich to Dingolfing and the tour was supposed to start at 8:30. Due to heavy rush hour traffic, we didn't get there until 8:40. However, we were the only ones there for the tour that day. Mr. Hoffmann spent a lot of time telling my son and I that he wouldn't be able to show us this plant or that plant ......"Because, YOU WERE LATE". I think he probably was trying to make a point to a couple Americans about the importance of being prompt. At one point, I did mention to him that I heard the USA was now #1 in sales of BMW's in the world. ...(and didn't have to say "so, be nice to your largest customer").
Aside from all that, Mr. Hoffman gave a great tour of a great company. It was very impressive.
You will enjoy it.

Thanks for the tip -- we'll be sure to show up 20 minutes early! Yesterday when I thought I wouldn't be able to get a tour I was pretty bummed.... my girlfriend simply remarked: "go on your forum -- you'll figure something out". She was exactly right.... I'm calling Mr. Hoffman Monday morning (German time); and I'm confident that I'll be touring the factory afterall!
Cheers!

I didn't have Mr. Hoffmanns business card with me here, and I couldn't find any web-reference to his name, so I decided not to montion it. Anyway - he gave me and my father a good tour of Dingolfing in 2003.
