Help! Crank but no start issue
Hello all and hope everyone is doing well.
here's the story i have a 06 530xi that i pretty much abandoned for the past 2 years, when i parked it it ran fine but now can't get it to start. Tried jumping it but must have poped a fuse or two. Replaced those as well as the fuel pump module since i couldnt get it to fire up. In ista I'm able to get the module to function with no errors but a slew of errors related to the dme that look terrible. I've tried getting into the dme and look for corrosion but having trouble getting it out, Ive attached some pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated

If you're having a hard time getting the DME out you may want to take it to an Indy shop. You should be able to tell without taking it completely out by unplugging it and looking at the cable, pins and look to see if you have water spots on the DME.
There is definitely something going on with the DME but I don't know what more help we can be if you can't get it out.

I don't remember that part. I know I pulled the wiring out from the side and I think it's 4 clips holding it in the you just push backwards.

got it out finally, had to slide out outside tabs outward and pull up and the connectors came off, decent ammount of corrosion, one pin is wiggling another i think may be dissoved or on the connector side.

Anyone have a picture of their dme out, it looks like one pin has completely corroded out and the one next to it is loose. Anyone know of a company that repins these? If the missing pin is actually a blank space i can just try cleaning both sides and giving it a test run
