I only have the single dash cd player, and believe it or not, I get track names displayed only on some cd's and not on others. all of mine are factory burned discs. It may be something about the way they are formatted??? Maybe try one that you know worked with displays in the car before the upgrade.

Had my car 1 day now, and cd-text is NOT showing on either single slot cd player or charger? ? Is CD-text only available when you have NAV ?? I have a TomTom GO, so didn't take the NAV.
I want my CD TEXT in my 45.000 euro car !? My wife's 15.000 euro ford focus has it.
DAMN !

I dont think the car displays it. I think it is or a later software update if they will ever make it display names.

1. Only the in-dash slot will show cd-text, so you can forget trying the changer.
2a. CDText is Sony technology so, unless you buy recent CBS/Sony releases such as George Michael, Patience (for example), you will not see cd-text on shop-purchased discs.
2b. If you burn your own discs then most burning software allows you to add CDtext to your discs. You can do this by either adding it manually for each track (no thanks, but if it's a home-made compilation the only way), or by doing a lookup to an online database such as freedb.org which compares the track and album running times against it's database to auto-populate the cd text for you.

You need to understand how cd text works
1.? Only the in-dash slot will show cd-text, so you can forget trying the changer.

I know how CDtext works - I've been using it for years on my home audio installation as well as my wife's car and my previous car(s)... Every single disk I burn has all cd-text info on it (nero - plextor burner).
It's just that none of my cd's show cdtext info on my shiny new E60 :'( :'(
