Help! Car wouldn't start

You have an exclamation mark which should indicate a seat belt warning at startup. Your mileage has changed to KM. No error message in iDrive. All signs to me point to a bad or low battery. When the battery is about to die the car will do weird things. It might just need charging but I would have it checked out to see if it is indeed going bad.

Anytime. Post the outcome and if it is not the battery then let us know. If you do have to replace the battery and it is not going to be done by an Indy shop or BMW make sure it has the same specs as the one in the car. That way you will only have to do a reset on the battery charging or can get away with not doing anything (not suggested though).

thanks again for the advice, I am going to get it checked out at the dealer that I purchased it at so they can replace it (hopefully for free) since I have barely had the car for a week. I will let you know the outcome.

I was looking this over and the exclamation could mean different things. If it is a triangle with an exclamation your iDrive will tell you what the warning is for. Do you know how to check the warning messages? It should tell you the message at the bottom of the screen and or the information panel

My Ride: 550i M Sport
Shit, so I was on my lunch break, stopped at a light when all of the sudden my car started shaking and my screen (navi) said that there is a transmission issue. The car could barely move.
Also on the dash screen there is a car on a lift.
I pulled off to the side. Turned the car off, tried to turn it on repeatedly but it would not start. It finally turned on and the transmission warning was off and it drive fine.
I am working on getting pics uploaded.
