HELP -- Car is not aggressive enough when warm.
Hi guys. I have BMW E60, 530d, 218PS, 2004, 317.000km. When cold, everything is fine, I am touching a little the accelerator pedal, and car is starting to fly at the same moment.
But after some minutes, when car is warmed up, situation is changing. The TURBO-charger is not starting to work so fast/easy, I have to push the pedal hard, then wait for 2-3 seconds, only then TURBO-charger is starting to work.
It seems that some valve is not opening when warm... Could anyone explain me what is happening?
Thank you.

Could be a clogged DPF (diesel particle filter). Read this:

Start by reading the error codes.

So when it heats up it runs badly and there is some dirt/soot/oil around the engine near the turbo?
Have you got a crack in something like an exhaust manifold?
Maybe wash it and see if you can spot something while it is running when warmed up.

Yes, it runs badly when it heats up. There was black dirt/soot around the turbo because of bad gasket at the connection point "exhaust manifold to turbo", but that is fixed. Had driven like this very long time.
Before I bought this car 5 years ago, I guess the Turbo of it was changed, and they did not put 1 of the fixing bolts at that connection point. I found it recently because of that dirt around the Turbo.

Assuming all the vacuum lines are attached properly maybe its worth looking at the vane actuator (vacuum) and vanes. Are they getting stuck?
Might need to observe running cold then hot.
What do you mean by "stinking very ugly" exactly.

DPF or not?
I just had another thought: if it is DPF, why the car runs normal after some seconds I push the pedal? It just take time and more effort to make TURBO to start. Then car is OK. And why there are no error codes?

Plus; I did not got the "Car is not aggressive enough when warm" problem up-to now.
The only question is: will the car pass the German technical control with such a hall in DPF or not? (I have no error lights on my dashboard, just when you do a computer diagnostics of the car, there is an error of DPF sensors wrong temperature.)

Will it pass TUV?
Maybe not after the Volkswagen fiasco.
Also why only one hole?
Wouldn't it be better to make a hole or holes the same size as the pipe into the DPF.
