Unhappy HELP: Can't Charge My Friggin Phone

Ok folks, I am unable to charge my phone unless the car is ON. Of course I can't leave it that way for two hours until the phone is done charging. So how do you guys charge your phones via the car? Thanks!

Unfortunately shutting down the auxiliary power ports when the car is turned off is a long-time and prominent feature of many German and Asian automobiles. I simply bring my devices inside to charge, but I definately understand - and experienced - the inconvenience it is to do so. The only real work-around would be to run a properly fused power tap. The danger is it could potentially interfere with the car's intelligent battery sensing system, which is designed to allow for the orderly shutdown of systems to conserve battery power. I think. Lol

Get an E46. They had an always-hot cig lighter. Easy access point for trickle-charging too.

You can rewire your auxillary port (cig lighter) or under dash to be constantly on. IMO not worth it because it's rare to be in car for so little time that it would not charge a phone.
