2 month ago i have this code that showed up and it
12041-intake air temperature sensor intermittent.
and i thought it was my mass air so i bought another one
and didnt fix the problem. i ran a datastream on it
and it does show normal temperature, its nothing
outrageous like -35 or 35 degree. i know the e46 car
has a intake air temp that is screwed into the intake
manifold do you think 04 models have it too?

Virtually every fuel injected car has an intake air temp sensor to compensate for the ambient temp. How are you reading the temp and how does it compare with the ambient temp?

i m using Carsoft software which is design specifically for BMW.
I was running datastream for the intake air temp sensor.
but i wasnt comparing it to ambient, but i think i got it figure out
yesterday, i found out that my ambient temp sensor was
covered by a plastic bag, lol. after i took it out and drove it for
3 ign on run and no light yet. as compare to before, itll come on
within one run.thanks for your help, and input.
