I own a 2007 E60 and my ABS and flat tire warning indicator is always on. I got it diagnosed and they said there is a power supply fault to the front driver side wheel. Has anyone else had this issue? Please can someone help I live in Reading UK.

I am assuming whereever you took the car, they must've read the diagnostic codes and the code indicates something wrong with front drivers side wheel speed sensor. If that's the case, replacing the wheel speed sensor will take care of the ABS problem.

TPM sensor is entirely different. Try resetting that in iDrive. Please search the forum for instructions.

our cars have two ways of measuring for a flat tyre. One was the old method, called FTM, flat tyre monitor, which relied on the ABS sensors. How it worked was, it would look at the difference in rotating speed between each tyre, and if one rotated significantly less than the other (which would happen if it was flat!) then it would alert the driver.

The newer way (which I'm not sure when BMW introduced!) consists of individual pressure sensors in each wheel I think.

If you have FTM, then fixing the ABS issue will fix your flat tyre alert as well. What you've got to determine is whether the abs sensor is faulty or whether there is actually a power supply fault to that wheel.

How do I determine if the abs sensor is faulty?
