So I'm negotiating between two dealers the purchase of a CPO 07 550i. If I buy today, I'd like some help understanding what to watch for during the contract phase. I'm afraid they are going to start attaching a bunch of fees to the price of the car, the financing terms, or omit some of the items that should come with the car (manuals, the stuff in the trunk, etc). I thought there was a thread here somewhere but I can't find it. Please help quickly! :-)

There will be the standard title fees and taxes. Maybe ask for some free upgrades? Ask for new all weather floor mats and for the trunk too. Make sure they have TWO sets of keys for you!!! If they don't, have them write a note that they owe you another key. Manual should come with the car. Check the glove compartment and trunk if has any extra accessories like the cargo net, hook for bags, etc.
Good luck!

I disagree as there are no free upgrades. If you want anything else thrown in with the deal you are going to end up paying for it. Just make sure you get all manuals, 2 keys and brand new floor mats.

If they say tell you that everything is covered in the CPO warranty, just like the new car warranty - just ask about the stereo and nav. I found out the hard way that they are not covered. If he says they are, make him put it in writing! If there is road rash on the wheels, make them fix them and at no charge to you. These items are deal breakers. Also make sure you have the disc for the nav unit.
