Hello all - New member! Question & Pics
Hi All. I've been lurking for a while and I'm a new member. I have a 2006 M5 with every option except perforated seats. I used this forum to upgrade my M5 to the LCI tail lights and I got the cables through Bruce. That was an awesome DIY upgrade possible through e60.net. I have been a contibuting member of M5board since mid-2008.
I did a search and found out that a bunch of e60 members have dented roundels on the steering wheel airbag module. As I write this I'm having my steering wheel recovered in Alcantara and perforated leather with the M-tri colored stitching pattern and it's going to look great, but I can't stand to have such a nice wheel with a dented roundel. I asked the dealer to change it twice and they just won't do it. They cannot justify the cost of a new airbag just for a dent, even though it is a crappy design.
I couldn't find a solution to the problem in my search. I saw a lot of complaints, but no pictures of anyone that bought a stick on that looked nice or anyone that succesfully pulled it off and fixed it or replaced it. I'm going to try to suction-cup it up, but even that won't fix it like new. When it dents it also dis-colors the silver trim border.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll put some pics of my beast up below:

Thanks 530, I came across those in my search too, but there is really no resolution in those threads. I was hoping someone had found an overlay that fit or some easy fix like that.
