I played around a bit more tonight and noticed that the iDrive distribution didn't seem to do anything at all. I even thought maybe I needed to set the preference but wait until the next time I started the car and seat warmers to have it take effect. It didn't seem to matter. The only thing I haven't tried yet is to see what happens after the car is awaken from sleep mode.

One more thing I noticed -- the passenger seat heat distibution was set to full bottom -- I didn't remember doing that so I set it to the middle position figuring that it was a fluke or something. A few minutes later, I went back to that screen to adjust the driver's seat distribution and what do you know? The passenger seat was set back to full bottom. I set it back to middle and again, it set itself back to full bottom.

Looks like many seat heating issues are surfacing now that the weather is getting colder in more places...

Mine is really hot too even with one light on.

BTW: does it supposed remeber the last setting after you turn the car off or it always starts up off just like "semiautomatc" wipers?

The heated seats will remember the setting they were on only if you restart the car before it sleeps (16 minutes.)

My steering wheel is fine. I have noticed my seats getting a little hot (I ususally set them at 2 lights).

I am having BT and Sirius installed tomorrow and the service guy just called and told me that there is a recall on the seats and that they would take care of them tomorrow. I hope they don't make them too weak.

I'm quite exited about the Sirius and Bluetooth! I'll post my experiences.

I use my heated seats almost every day (on "3") For the past month or so. I usually am wearing a coat so I don't find it too hot. I like Rudy's suggestion of the heated SMG paddles, but thats a story for a different day. No burning leather issues so far.

Rob, please keep up informed on the progress of your Sirius install. I noticed you have a 2004 car with Navigation. If you get Sirius tomorrow, you'll likely be the first person to get it with that combination. I sure hope you get it but, as I've said to a few others, don't get your hopes up or don't be surprised if the dealer gives you some bad news about not being able to do it... Good luck!

No problems really. It gets hot so I crank it down to 1 light and cruise for a little while and then shut off.
