Yes -- I think I may have a different problem than everyone else. I have the front seats setup full heat to the back area and no heat on the butt area but regardless of this the butt area gets so unbearably warm you cant even sit in them while the back area is only slightly warm.

My complete seat gets really really hot when using it. The passenger seat doesn't get as hot as my seat does. So I only have it on 1 light or 2 lights max.

I haven't followed the previous thread but I'm sure you know you can select the proportion of heat for the seat bottom and the seat back in the idrive menu.

I have a 06/04 production 545, and the heated seats don't get that hot.
They work, I adjusted them for just the upper back through I Drive, comfy, but not as hot as other cars I have owned with heated seats.
Lomag my seat bottom doesn't heat up with this set-up FYI.
Not complaining, sure beats a burnt A$$.
But I run mine full on ( 3 green lights ) without wanting to turn them down.
I have standard seats, I wonder if Sport or Comfort designs alter the pad placement causeing the burnt seats we have read about ?

I have sport seats and can not drive with three green lights lit. I don't smell anything burning but my ass gets to hot.
