'07 525xi with the cold weather package.

I went through a Culver's drive-through this evening, and they gave me a sticky note with my order number on it, and I stuck it to my drivers door mirror. The mirror was warm, I had my kid check the passenger mirror, also warm.

Heated seats weren't on, steering wheel heater wasn't on, rear defroster wasn't on, auto climate control was set to 68*, and the ambiant air temp was around 39*.

I assumed the heated mirrors would come on with the rear defroster. Are they on all the time?

The car will turn them(and adjust the range) on based on temperature; I as well having the wipers on below freezing also increases it
