Same problem with mine...got software update and its all good. If you are out of warranty may cost you a few hundo but again it depends on if you are buddies with your service guys or not?
I upgraded with Angelibright in the white and it looks great...I am not keen on the red or blue etc...

i'll check with the dealer tomorrow, i would think software updates/patches should always be supported by OEMs...

if there is a bug in the s/w i hope the dealer can take care of it free of charge because the car isn't under warranty anymore...
as far as LCI models, im not sure what that is. mines an 05' so im not sure. so with my orange lights not turning on this is not normal?

It clearly sounds like you have the software with the eybrow bug. If the dealer says you have to pay for the upgrade, I say call BMW NA and let them know that the car, as it is now, does not meet USDOT standards and this issue should be treated like a recall, not a warranty repair. After all, the lights worked fine before the last software upgrade and they'll likely work perfectly after another upgrade. To me, as a matter of principle, this should be fixed for free no matter how far out of warranty your car is...
