Hi there guys,

Nearly done all the bits and bobs the low life people stole a few weeks back of my car.

Since i dont know how the parts are because they were stolen. I was wondering if anyone knew how the washer jets go together?

I was at the dealers the other day and they couldn't work it out either.

basically i have the flap that goes on the bumper (color coded already) and the bracket that it sits on to. Which fits in fine, So when i spray the jets the flaps open up but then dont go back in because there is nothing there to clip it to the actual washer jet nozzle. so the covers just remain open, does anyone know how it works?

Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't help you directly but a competent BMW-approved auto body shop should be able to fix you in no time. They are always removing and installing fornt bumpers.

Not sure if it is the same in the UK. In the US, the service techs and parts guys usually refer your type of question to the body repair techs. RealOEM shows a flap, a lever and a spring. The spring would keep the flap close, with the nozzle pushing the flap open during operation. Let me know via PM if you would like me to try and take a picture of the flap on my front bumper.

Spring, level, flap are all listed at RealOEM. Look up your vehicle and search:
51 VEHICLE TRIM
15 BUMPER FRONT

I don't know the year of your 530d RHD, but here is an example:
RealOEM: 530d => Vehicle Trim => Bumper Front

My pictures show the M Technik bumper cover.

Just printed it out, will go to parts tomorrow and see if they have the 'spring' on their system, because they kept saying they is nothing more to it!

I believe so. You could see if you can reach the flap after removing the headlight.
