Headlight restoration-easier
I've tried various methods to get the haze out on my last 2002 as well as my current 2006 550.
Part store products, Mothers, Turtle, drill buffers, high speed polisher
Paid once- at a garage
None have given what I wanted.
I just read a thread here with a video. Great outcome and well done "Doing it the right way" or something similar.
Wish I had read it before but let me share the easier way. As with many things easier isn't always better. I supect the "Right way" is somewhere in my future. But for now I'm pleased and impressed with

After wet sanding with their hand pad, cleaning up and drying, you appply the magic formula. A polymer of some sort that recreates a smooth clear new surface. It is pretty amazing.
After drying it was not as impressive but still way better than what I started with. As I said, the hard way is probably better but I don't own or want to purchase the equipment. At least not yet.
Hope this helps,

Looks pretty good. Hopefully that magic formula keeps them clean and does not wash away like some sort of filler or glaze. I was lucky my car had new LCI headlights put in a year before my ownership so I don't need to do this just yet. Nice work!
