Anyone, like 3M, make a clear plastic cover for the headlight lens? I would think 3M Cleartastic or such would support this already.

Think only 3M has it. It is a 40mil thick plastic cover.

There are several film manufacturers, but mostly 3M is used. The various names you see thrown about are simply of the people who make patterns for shops to plug into their CAD/cutting machines. I have protection on my headlights as part of the package that I bought covering my front-end and mirrors.

Yup exactlly what he said. I too have the clear film protection for my headlights from part of a package... Bumper, Hood, Mirrors and Headlights.
