Hi guys
I have a 2008 E60 550i with xenon lights which I recently purchased.
I am trying to sort out a few of the problems
The cars headlights are not working properly
Amongst other the spotlights don’t work.
I have stripped the headlight modules and repaired most of the perished wiring due to heat but there is no voltage coming through to the spot lights.
I purchased a handbook online but the pages I need with the wiring diagrams for the headlight module is missing and incomplete
Can anyone please help me with a proper complete handbook and or the respective wiring diagrams?
Thank you
There's not much inside of there to require a wiring diagram. Either you have shorted or broken wire(s). Dig in deeper and you'll most likely spot the culprit. I ended up removing the leveling motor and then you'll see practically everything. Undo those plastic retaining clips and carefully pull out the wiring harness.
Thank you.
Are there any circuit diagrams available??
Is there just 1 main 50A fuse for the whole unit?
Are there independent fuses for the spots?
The xenon lights seem to go onto bright but not the halogen globes.
Are the halogen globes directly powered or through a module?
Are alternate globes available and recommended which will reduce the amount of heat generated by the halogen globes?
Kindly advise
I do not recall the individual lamps having dedicated fuses. You first need to isolate if the problem is with the headlight assembly or not, and then move forward from there.
I'm not sure what diagram you want as there are several due to feature options and the fact that there are many modules involved in controlling our lights.
Thank you
I am looking for the dim / brights circuit please.
I am struggling with my halogen spots that don’t work.
Mine is not a bi-xenon but has a xenon and a halogen spotlight
The xenon operates bright and dim but not the halogen.
I am trying to understand the circuit

Wait, isn't yours a facelift LCI model? On the North American LCI models the inner light is not a high beam, it just turns on when you turn a corner. Mine turn on when I put the vehicle in reverse or when I'm moving and either turn on the turn signal or begin turning my wheels. I don't see a wiring diagram that necessarily matches what you're looking for. Do your headlights look like these?

Yep, mine are not high beams either.
I am not sure why OP needs a wiring diagram when the modules don't have wiring. The wiring harness is in the headlight assembly, and you can see all of the wires. You just need to pull some of them out, and there's not that many. They'll either be broken or exposed. You're going unnecessary deep wanting to know how it all works.
