Headlight Beam Adjustment
I'll be taking a UK car to France/Spain in a few weeks and I was wondering how to adjust the headlights for driving on the other side of the road.
Just wondering if it is simply a matter of sticking on beam deflectors or if the headlights need to be manually adjusted by a dealer.
Has anyone any experience of this with an E60?

Not quite an answer to your question, but I just got back from the continent and the xenons are blinding oncoming traffic no end. Every third car was signalling me.. Could be because of the weight in the trunk. I had a feeling the levellers were too slow..
I'm thinking about having the left light set to left hand drive settings. Any thoughts anyone?

Just read the manual (Page 179 under Laws and Regulations). There is an adjustment lever for Xenon headlights and a film which can be purchased from BMW Service for regular Halogen lights.

is the film required or recommended?
The AA has a good summary of what is legally required for the variuous European countries:

I'll probably get the stickies, just in case.
Whilst I was looking for some info on Spanish motoring laws, I came across the following site which lists the various types of fuel, prices, etc.

Any idea what the difference is between diesel and "new diesel"?
I just want to be sure I fill up with the right stuff!
Phil.
