I though the headlamp washer came on by itself periodically, and until recently it had come on only a couple of times in the last 3 months or so. Now, it comes on EVERY time I wash the windshield. Why has it changed? And how do I get it to stop? Any ideas? Thanks...

I believe the headlamp washers only operate when headlights are on. Thus, pulling the switch to clean your windshield during the day doesn't squirt the lamps too.

+1. Headlamps must be on for the headlamp washers to activate. I think they come on every fifth activation of the washers.

I leave my headlamps in the "auto" mode, and they are off during the day, coming on only when I enter my garage or other dark places. They didn't use to work this way thought, with the headlamp washer only coming on rarely. It just pisses me off cause it sprays washer fluid all over the front end when it does it.

You might try getting out of the "auto" mode (leaving the switch in the vertical position). Then try the washers. If the headlamp washers come on, then you have an electrical problem. If they don't, then your issue is resolved.

LOL! I remember the first time I used mine. It was raining and I was parked in front of the bank, so I could see the front of my car in the window reflection. I was attempting to clean the windshield and I forgot my lights were on. It looked like my car was going through a car wash. Needless to say, this system not only cleans the headlights but the whole front end of the cart as well.

Does the headlight washer come only with the cold weather package?

I think so -- at least in the USA. Other countries have totally different option combinations, etc.
