Headlamp eyebrow LEDs not working?

My first question on here.Should these LEDs illuminate when you switch the lights on? I believe the LEDs are marker lamps? I've noticed mine don't illuminate on either side 
I've noticed a few E60s where some are working and on others they are not? Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd like them to be working, and could take a feed off the side light circuit but want to check first just incase i've missed something?

You might want to edit the title to something saying eyebrows so that the experts can chime in... I will also look to see if I find something for you..

Yes i guess they are the 'eyebrows'?...........mine don't work either side.
